上海国际饭店由金城、盐业、大陆、中南四家银行（四行储蓄会）联合投资兴建，匈牙利著名建筑师邬达克担纲设计，上海馥记营造厂倾力建造，1934年12月1日建成开业。大楼占地面积1825平方米，共有24层楼，标高83.8米，属现代艺术装饰派。饭店曾享有远东第一高楼三十年、上海最高建筑五十年之久。1950年，上海测绘部门以国际饭店楼顶旗杆为全市平面坐标系，由此确立为上海“大地原点坐标”；2006年被国务院列为全国重点文物保护单位；2011年被评为“中华老字号企业”；2011年“国际饭店京帮点心制作技艺”被列为上海市非物质文化遗产。
饭店现有客房总数260间，其中套房21间，豪华房60间；大小餐厅经营面积为953平方米，拥有大型餐厅2个，（包括2楼丰泽楼和14楼摩天厅）；各类包房8个，分布2楼、14楼和15楼；大小会议室7个，其中国际厅作为多功能厅适合各种会议与宴会的需求；饭店内还设有商场、美容中心、健身房、桑拿浴室，健身娱乐、停车库等一应配套服务设施齐全，能满足国内外商务、旅游宾客的要求。饭店秉承谦恭有礼、殷勤待客的传统，竭诚为所有来店宾客提供热忱周到的服务。
Park Hotel was invested by Joint Savings Society, designed by L.E. Hudec who was a Hungary architect, and built by the Taoyuji Construction Company. It was grand opened on Dec.1st 1934. The 24-story building is 83.3 meters tall and occupies 1,825m2. It had been the tallest building of the Far East for three decades and remained the top one in Shanghai for half a century. In 1950, Shanghai Surveying and Mapping Administration took a survey of the whole city and defined the hotel as the origin of coordinate of Shanghai. In 2006, the hotel was elected “Important Monument under the State Protection” by the State Council of China. In 2011, it was awarded as China Time-honored Brand and successfully cataloged in Shanghai Non-material Cultural Heritage.
The hotel has around 260 rooms including 21 suites and 60 deluxe rooms. Its restaurants occupy 953m2 which are composed of Fengze Lou, Sky Terrace Hall and 8 VIP rooms. There are 7 conference rooms, Park Hall is the biggest one and its facilities can suit different demands of the guests. The hotel also has shops, beauty salon, gym, sauna, parking lot etc. All the staff are ready to receive the guests from all over the world with their warm, highly effective and sincere service.
